A Saturday night in 2016: Fabio and Piero Messana, son and father, are in Prato, in Tuscany, in their own pizzeria-gelateria.
That same Saturday night, the two of them, vegan for years for an ethical choice, offer to their regular customers an home-made vegan mozzarella and cold cuts, experienced in their kitchen. That night an idea starts to take shape into Fabio’s mind: why not turn passion and talent in to a real business project?

Since that day the adventure starts: Spotted a perfect ex butcher shop for their cruelty free strat-up project, son and father put heart and soul in the project inaugurating the production in November 2016.
After the first two years where the company is more oriented in the Ho.Re.Ca. sector and online sale, earning a great reputation in the vegan world, the total handcrafiting of the production processes does not reward: the clients respond enthusiastically to Fabio and Piero options but one last piece is missing.
THE TURNING POINT
The turning point happens in February 2018: Fabio and Piero meet Fernando Favilli, a well known businessman with over 40 years of experience in the organic sector. The Messana’s Family creative flair and the new project does not escape from Fernando’s knack for business, who decided to start a new adventure with them.
Here it is born Vegeatal srl in July 2019, result of the synergy between Fernando’s business experience and the skill and ability of vision of our great duo.
